What’s On in June at Dice and Balls?

Summer is nearly here, and we’ve got a whole bunch of exciting events lined up this June to help bring people together, get active, and share a few laughs along the way. Whether you’re into board games, balloons, or a bit of Arnold’s history, there’s something for everyone. Here’s where you’ll find us out and about in the community this month.

📍 2nd June – The Core Centre, Calverton

We’re kicking off the month with a short talk about who we are and what we do. If you’re curious about Dice and Balls and want to learn more about our mission, pop by and say hello.

🕰 3rd June – Bob Massey at The Hub

Local historian Bob Massey is joining us to chat about the fascinating history of our new home, Church Drive School. It’s a great chance to learn more about the place we now call The Hub.

🥪 5th June – Lunch Club at The Core, Calverton

We’ll be back at The Core Centre for their lovely Lunch Club. If you’re around, come and have a natter with us – we’ll bring the games and the good vibes.

🎶 6th June – Dice & Ballads: Our First Singing Session!

This is a brand new one for us and we’re very excited! Dice & Ballads is all about singing for the joy of it. No pressure, no auditions – just come along and lift your voice for fun. Whether you think you can sing or not, you’re welcome.

💜 7th June – Wellbeing Awareness Day at High Croft Surgery

We’re proud to be part of this special day focused on health and wellbeing. Find out how Dice & Balls are bringing people together to help fight loneliness, and discover more local services that can support you and your loved ones.

🎈 21st June – Arnold Summer Fair

It’s one of our favourite events of the year! We’ll be bringing out the big stuff – giant games, skipping ropes, balloon fun, and even a stilt walker! It’s going to be a brilliant day for the whole family.

🤹 22nd June – Positively Empowered Kids Festival at Nottingham Castle

We’re thrilled to be part of this inspiring day at the castle. We’ll be bringing circus skills, stilts, and crafty fun to this amazing, fun filled event – all to help empower young people and boost confidence in a playful, welcoming setting.

🍬 24th June – Robert Mellor’s Nursery

We’re back with more colourful joy – this time with candy floss and balloons for the little ones. It’s all about bringing smiles to small faces!

🎨 28th June – Sherwood Arts Week

We’re rounding off the month with balloons, candy floss, and a stilt walker for Sherwood’s creative week-long celebration. Come by and say hi if you’re in the area!
